As part of expanding international expertise and strategic cooperation, on September 7, a delegation from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) based in France visited the Institute for Studying Youth Problems and Training Prospective Personnel under the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The delegation included leading OECD experts on public governance and cooperation, Nizar Touhami Chahdi and Nicole Drew.

Purpose of the Visit and Key Focus Areas

During the visit, the guests learned in detail about the Institute’s activities, its ongoing scientific and analytical work, and prospective projects being implemented.
The main theme of the meeting was the presentation and discussion of current joint projects implemented in cooperation with the Institute and the OECD, specifically the “Youth Policy Analysis” project and other initiatives aimed at improving institutional mechanisms for youth support.

Key Discussions

During the negotiations, Institute representatives presented to the OECD experts analytical data on youth collected at the national level, as well as mechanisms for transforming this data into concrete management decisions.
The OECD representatives highly praised the Institute’s systematic work in providing scientific and analytical support for youth policy and expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation, share advanced international practices, and execute joint research programs.
