Within the framework of the Uzbekistan delegation’s visit to Japan, a meeting was held with the President of Nagoya University, Naoshi Sugiyama. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Institute for Studying Youth Problems and Training Prospective Personnel, Professor Aktam Jalilov.

 

 

 

Key outcomes of the meeting:

Scientific Dialogue: Professor A. Jalilov proposed an initiative to conduct comparative scientific research on increasing social solidarity and youth activism in neighborhoods, using the Japanese “Chōnaikai” and “Jichikai” models as examples.

Strategic Cooperation: An agreement was reached to expand cooperation with Nagoya University in training promising personnel and conducting scientific analysis of youth policy.

Future Prospects: An agreement was made to establish systematic relations between the Institute and new structures planned for launch in 2026.

 

This dialogue marks a significant step toward introducing Uzbekistan’s “Mahalla” institution into the global scientific arena.
