II Forum of Historians of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan
On November 14, the II Forum of Historians of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan was held in Tashkent under the theme “Historical and Cultural Heritage of Central Asia: Shared Past – Common Future.” The key topic of the event was “Youth and the Digital Era: From Ancient Manuscripts to Artificial Intelligence” emphasizing the importance of digital transformation and the role of young experts in preserving and reinterpreting historical heritage.

 

 

The event took place at the Center of Islamic Civilization, which added special academic and cultural significance to the forum.

 

Delegations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan participated in the forum. Representatives of these countries shared their experience in digitizing archives, integrating modern technologies into the humanities, and using AI to study historical heritage.

In addition, representatives of several organizations from Uzbekistan took part in the forum. In particular, the event was opened by representatives of the World Youth Association. Representatives of the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis also shared their views and proposals during the forum.

Employees of the Institute for Studying Youth Issues and Training Promising Personnel also took an active part in the event. The institute’s team became one of the key contributors to the discussions, raising important topics about youth in the era of AI, digital literacy, and innovative methods of preserving historical and cultural heritage.

The forum became an important platform for sharing experiences, expanding international cooperation and discussing how the shared historical past can become the basis for a common digital future of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
