On August 17 of this year, the newspaper “Yangi Uzbekistan” published an interview with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev: “New Uzbekistan is becoming a country of democratic changes, broad opportunities and practical activities”.
In order to reveal the essence of this interview to the general public, on August 27 this year, a round table was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan: “New Uzbekistan – country whose ultimate goal is to create a free, prosperous and well-being life for the people”.
The event was attended by experts in the field of public administration, non-governmental organizations, higher educational and research institutions, the media, the Academy of Public Administration, the Institute for the Study of Youth Problems and Training of Prospective Personnel under the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, professors, employees and doctoral students.
As part of the agenda of the event, the following issues were discussed:
– New Uzbekistan — a period of active social and political processes and renewal based on the interests of the people;
– The most important tasks facing us at the present stage of the country’s development;
– An open, pragmatic and practical foreign policy — as an important factor in strengthening the spirit of trust in the new Uzbekistan and the principles of cooperation;
– The main criterion for the activities of leaders in the new Uzbekistan is direct dialogue with the people, consistent implementation of their goals and aspirations;
– The role and main tasks of youth in the process of building a new Uzbekistan;
– New Uzbekistan — new economic relations, new economic worldviews.
In the interview, as the participants of the event emphasized, the achievements, questions and problems of all spheres of the country’s public life during the years of independence, the processes of intensive changes, points of contact with the realities of the global world, and etc. were revealed.
At the end of the round table, the young participants of the event received comprehensive answers from experts to their questions.
