The European Union (EU) Commission has nominated Ms Biliana Sirakova as the EU Youth Coordinator in order to strengthening cooperation in the field of youth and developing the knowledge and skills of young people.

The main tasks of the newly nominated Ms Biliana Sirakova from 1 June 2021 are to reinforce the cross-sectorial cooperation within the European Commission in order to promote issues in the fields of employment, education, health, climate, democracy and culture that affect youth, as well as work closely with interested youth from different backgrounds of society.
In particular, she listens to the problems and suggestions of various categories of young people, and also helps in considering the key ideas of young people in the framework of the issues raised by the commission.
