The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences published a report “On the social situation in China,” which, among other things, describes the situation in the youth environment.
According to statistics, 87.5 percent of young people in China have a monthly income below 8,000 yuan. At the same time, a third of representatives of this age category earn from 4,000 to 6,000 yuan per month.
The main areas of employment for young people are online services related to various types of video blogs, order processing, delivery of purchases and other areas of the digital economy.
Delivery couriers have the busiest working hours, the report says. On average, they work 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. At the same time, the shortest working day for those employed in the field of e-sports, where they work 4-5 days a week, 6.5 hours a day.
