To date, the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Youth Union of Uzbekistan are implementing the project “Young Voter – 2021”, the purpose of which is to convey to the youth the essence and significance of the adopted laws and regulatory documents aimed at developing the socio-political sphere, as well as further enhancement of their socio-political knowledge and legal culture.
September 13 this year within the framework of the project, an event was held in the Ellikkala region of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in which employees of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specialists of the Institute for the Study of Youth Problems and Training of Perspective Personnel, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, representatives of a number of other state and non-governmental organizations, youth and the media (total – 1 700 people).
Within the framework of the event, discussion platforms, legal and television quizzes, training seminars, review competitions under the motto “The youth of the new Uzbekistan-drivers of the future” were organized in the areas of “The best essay” and” The best popular science and analytical article”, active participants and the winners of which were awarded certificates and memorable gifts.
During the event, the specialists of the Institute for the Study of Youth Problems and Training of Prospective Personnel informed the young participants about the gradual introduction of democratic principles and the requirements of international standards into the electoral system, the consistent improvement of electoral legislation, as well as the conditions created for the exercise of the right to vote in the country.
