According to research by the Institute for Research of the Youth Problems and Training Prospective Personnel, if elections to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan are held soon, 37 percent of young people will vote for the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, 16.4 percent for the Social Democratic Party “Adolat”, 15.4 percent for the People’s Democratic Party, 7.1 percent for the Democratic Party “Milliy Tiklanish” and only 5 percent for the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan. However, one fifth of young people (19.1%) reported that they would not participate in the elections at all.
