Draughts is one of the national sports of the Uzbek people, and therefore it is included in the list of sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the game of draughts, two people play based on a drawn circle. In the game of draughts, with each achievement, the step moves up to the indicated room by a large step.

Among the sports played based on strategy and tactics, draughts has many complexities. Tactics and strategies are traditionally used in the game of draughts. More skills can also be acquired in the game of draughts, as this game is complex and projective, and is among the most common sports in society, with precise calculation and tracking requirements.

Playing draughts helps young leaders develop several skills and abilities:

Increasing Skills: While playing draughts, it is required to use more skills than in other sports. The best way to increase your skills is to participate in a draughts game.

Voluntary decision-making: During the game of draughts, players learn to make mutual decisions and this helps them learn to express their thoughts themselves.

Giving clear feedback:  During a game of draughts, players often learn strategies and identify tasks that need to be identified and implemented in order to accomplish them. This develops the ability to express a clear opinion.

Understanding Resistance: Understanding resistance is very important in the game of draughts. This ability is useful in other sports as well.

Patience and seriousness: Patience and seriousness are required while playing draughts, because in the game the player has to be patient with several events in front of the opponent. This will be very useful for his personal life and education.

Draughts has several advantages. In particular, a person learns to focus properly while playing draughts. It is also necessary to observe the action, see what happens and make a well-thought-out decision.

For this purpose, draughts competitions were held among the students of the Institute for Research of Youth Problems and Training Prospective Personnel. The following were the winners of this competition held within each group: Kilichov Ogabek from the 1st group, Gafurov Feruz from the 2nd group and Rustamov Shukurullo from the 3rd group. The draughts competition held among these young leaders help them improve their skills.
