Yesterday, on June 30, after listening to the speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the solemn ceremony dedicated to Youth Day, once again I convinced that in recent years our country has observed a “golden era” in the implementation of state youth policy.
The head of our state sees young people as the future owners of the country and creates all the conditions for them. A striking example of this is the announcement of 2021 as the Year of Supporting Youth and Strengthening Public Health.
In particular, in his speech at yesterday’s ceremony, the President opened the door to many opportunities and benefits for young people, as well as his words, which inspire our enthusiastic and aspiring sons and daughters and encourage them to move towards their goals. The most important of the given opportunities and privileges can be seen in the following:
First, from the beginning of the new academic year, the student loan will be 14% for 7 years. Funds used to repay the loan are exempt from tax;
Second, young professionals who have graduated from the TOP-1000 universities in the world and conducted research abroad receive additional remuneration;
Third, professions and positions requiring higher education will be reviewed. Not less than 150 requirements will be repealed;
Fourth, it is mandatory to have at least one profession or occupation that is in high demand in the labor market when issuing a school diploma, the list of which will be approved by the khokims. Students in grades 10-11 will be trained in the occupations listed on the list;
Fifth, under the mortgage program, an additional 2,000 quota will be allocated to young families for the purchase of housing, and 60 billion sums will be allocated from the budget for this purpose. The funds paid by young families to repay the mortgage loan are fully exempt from income tax.
In short, the wide range of opportunities and conditions created for our young men and women, the attention and care for their study and active work attract not only our compatriots, but also the world community. This, in turn, will further inspire our youth to study and work, to increase their social activity in society, to mobilize all their efforts for the future of our country.
