The symbol of the independence of our country – the state emblem of our state is appreciated by all people. In it, everyone sees the true image of our native Uzbekistan: mountains, rivers and, wrapped in a wreath of wheat ears, and on the right side, golden rays of the sun illuminate a blossoming valley surrounded by open branches of cotton. This is a testament to the charm of our unique land.
At the top of the state emblem is an octagon as a symbol of the freedom of the republic, and inside – a crescent and a star. In the center of the symbol is the Humo bird, a symbol of happiness and freedom – with outstretched wings. At the bottom of the state emblem, on a ribbon depicting the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the word “Uzbekistan” is inscribed.
In accordance with the 4th article of the Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan is permanently placed in the residences of the President, the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Cabinet of Ministers, state bodies of the republic, the State Security Service, the National Guard, the Central Bank, the Accounts Chamber, The Central Election Commission, Jokorgi Kengesi of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Council of Ministers, local authorities, courts, prosecutors, diplomatic missions, consular institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in front of the offices of international organizations.
The image of the state emblem is reflected on the seals and letterheads of state bodies, official publications, paper and coinage, securities and passports, as well as other documents established by law.
